Shastri Indo-Canadian Institute is pleased to invite proposals from faculty members/ researchers/scientists affiliated with Canadian and Indian Member Institutions of good standing to organize a lecture or lecture series on the latest developments in the area of agriculture. The lecture series can be organized on any theme related to Agriculture, however, proposals on the topics such as precision agriculture; tools, techniques, and equipment for smart agriculture; usage of Informationn technologies for agriculture and water automation; data mining techniques for agriculture, crop-yield prediction and time series models in the agriculture are encouraged.
Applicants from member institutions are advised to collaborate with member institutions, businesses, and industries, federal/central/state/provincial governments, as part of the proposed activities. Furthermore, SICI will appreciate engaging institutions and people of importance from institutions that are not members of SICI. However, the lead applicant must be from a member institution only.
Objectives
- To arrange experts, talk on the nascent developments
- To provide a discussion forum to gain knowledge and derive solutions
Eligibility criteria
- The applicant should be a full-time faculty member from SICI‘s member institution in good standing
- The constituent colleges/institutes of member institutions of SICI are also eligible to apply for this grant.
The proposed activity must include one Canadian and one Indian expert from academia, industry.
Value of grant: INR 25, 000 (Twenty-Five Thousand)
No. of grants: Shastri Institute may change the award number on the basis of the applications and proposals received.
