As an outcome of the automation, an online database consisting of an organised collection of current Indian Publications procured under the book programme for one or multiple uses has been created. The database consists of bibliographic data that are structured to collect and store information so that Canadian Member Universities can retrieve such information in an automatic fashion. The structure of the database is tabular, consisting of rows and columns of information. The database has been operational from the fiscal year of 2009 -2010.

The Order Report contains the fields with information that are available for any order or any title (print, nonprint) - the name of the university who has placed the order/request, date of the order placed, quantity of the request, delivered quantity, pending quantity, order type, ISBN/ISSN, title description, sub title, publisher, publication year, author/editor, edition, volume, frequency, period, issue number, language, dealer, budget allocated, budget utilized, budget pending, category, status, price, currency, discount, dispatch date, dispatch mode etc. Thus any member institution can track their request status once they log into the site with their respective member id. The whole information is available online The India Office is always ready to co-operate with each member university in the acquisition of library materials or in service to researchers, and will promptly answer all correspondence and enquiries.
