Frequently Asked Questions

Can I have my Professor send you a reference letter directly?

We prefer that all application documents arrive at our office in one package. The best practice is to have your professor sign or stamp over the seal of the envelope and then give it to you to submit with the other application documents. The Shastri Institute receives many applications for different grants all year round. We cannot guarantee that random documents arriving at the office will find their way into the right program file. Disorganized applications reflect poorly on an applicant and may impact the adjudication of the applicant. Please plan ahead to give yourself time to acquire all the necessary application documents before sending in your application.
